Object: Welcome Arch
Date: 20th century
Description : This welcome arch was not the first to occupy this spot as there had been an earlier version in the late 1940s, early 1950s. This was a more permanent looking structure covered in artificial greenery, flags and heraldic shields and a Welcome to Rothesay sign. This photo was taken in the late 1960s-early 1970s and shows the later version. (Rothesay Buildings), P03-2243, B11.55)
