Object: Sandcastle Competition Ettrick Bay

Description : The Bute Tramway Company were always looking for ways to attract visitors to Ettrick Bay and during the summer months sandcastle building competitions were held regularly. There were also wildflower competitions, donkey derbies and regular sports days where there were married ladies races, married men races, three legged races and babies’ races among others with the results being published in the Buteman.
