Description : P.S. Duchess of Rothesay
This photo was taken in 1907 when the Duchess of Rothesay was used to transport the Duke (future King George V) and Duchess of Rothesay from Renfrew to Clydebank for the opening of the Rothesay Dock. Although the paddle steamer saloons at the time were relatively spacious and comfortable, a special effort has been made on this occasion with the addition of pot plants. (P03-2997, B6.013) (Steamers)
