Object: Model of the Gay Queen

Description: Model of the motor cruiser Gay Queen. This much-loved craft was built in 1938. She was requisitioned by the Royal Navy in WW2 then returned to Rothesay where she took countless holidaymakers on cruises around Bute and Loch Striven. She left Rothesay in 1990 but she is still to the fore as the ‘Dorset Queen’, cruising from Poole Quay
