Victoria grew up in Kilmarnock and attended the University of Edinburgh where she was a student of Prof Peter Higgs. She holds a personal chair in Collider Physics and co-leads the experimental particle physics research group at the University of Edinburgh. She often gives talks to schools and science clubs.
