The Weir family emigrated to South Africa in 1906 and settled in Orange Free State where they bought a farm. Sadly Grace’s son David was posted missing presumed killed in action in March 1918 and is commemorated on the North Bute War Memorial. (Schools), (P03-4199, B4-1)
