A very successful training session took place in the museum for the Rock Art Bute group. This is part of Scotland’s Rock Art Project which is now live online. Members of the local group worked with Dr Tertia Barnett and Dr Stuart Jeffrey, practising how to record Bute’s many cupmarked stones in 3D. The following week a very enthusiastic class from St Andrews Primary visited the museum and spent the morning finding out about Bute’s Early People. They studied, drew and talked about artefacts from the Neolithic and Bronze Age. They were absolutely brilliant and can come back any time!
